The Wealth Trap
When we search the definition of the word ‘Wealth’ the first description we will commonly find will state ‘an abundance of valuable possessions or money’ followed by the second definition which states ‘a plentiful supply of a particular desirable thing’, this evidently shows how the majority of society places monetary wealth over and above any other form of wealth.
Life offers us two different forms of achievable wealth. We have access to an external wealth and an internal wealth. The external wealth covers the areas of our life governed by finance, which enables most earthly material gains. Although this option can seem to offer us a plentiful existence, in reality this is a wealth which is fleeting, and is also highly prone to be diminished or lost in some way. Just like most things which are created by the hand of humans, these are material assets which will have a high turnover, because they are not designed to last forever. They are actually created to offer only temporary satisfaction, and keep us needing and coming back for more.
External wealth could last weeks, months, years or even centuries, but regardless of how long we may have access to this form of monetary or financial wealth, there is one thing which it will never offer us, and that is peace. Contrary to popular belief it is untrue that financial wealth brings peace. If we only give priority to this type of wealth in our life and it is not balanced with the accomplishment and maintenance of our internal wealth, we will not find peace. Instead, we may find ourselves spiraling in a heightened state of worry and fear. We may find ourselves in constant anxious awareness of an ongoing, unseen, silently lurking threat, which could possibly bring an end to our much coveted and externally sourced financial wealth.
Numerous circumstances beyond our control can result in the demise or loss of our finances, whether gradually over a prolonged period of time, or even in the blink of an eye. We may somehow unwittingly or even subconsciously play a role in the result of our loss, or this may unfortunately lie in the hands of other people, either unintentionally or with blatant wilful intent. Whatever the case may be, just the mere thought of this threat is more than enough to cause a great deal of constant anxiety, tension, and sleepless nights, not to mention the toll this unstable form of wealth can take on us emotionally, mentally, and even physically.
Why is it that so many people who are perceived to be financially wealthy still feel unfulfilled and unhappy? Because we are not born attached to anything outside of our physical and spiritual body, and therefore we should not aim to be. There are no excessive or obsessive attachments connected to our internal wealth, unlike the over-exuberant and possessive behaviour which so often accompanies most external financial wealth. Our soul has everything it needs to sustain an abundant and peaceful life, by utilising everything which can be found within us. Our internal wealth has several interconnected levels which we must achieve, before true inner wealth and ultimate abundance can be found. These are our natural and vital levels of health, which are the primary source of our internal wealth.
Our internal wealth is governed by our levels of physical health, mental health, emotional health, and our spiritual health. If any of these levels of health are amiss or inadequately functioning, we will not be able to achieve our goal of ultimate internal wealth. All internal wealth must first begin with our highest levels of internal health, as our human health is indeed our innate and natural wealth and abundance. These are elements of wealth which must all align with each other in order to enhance who we are, and who we are born to be. These are our innate elements of wealth, which means they have no expiration date. However, just like any financial wealth our internal wealth can also become diminished significantly, if we are not mindful of their importance, and the necessity of their vital care, monitoring, and maintenance. Our internal wealth is the only true avenue through which peace can be found.
If we choose to prioritise any earthly material wealth above our inherent human wealth, we become unbalanced in our natural human needs. We will constantly be attracted to and also attached to the aim of obtaining what we believe we need externally, outside of ourselves in a lower energetic frequency of need and lack. And in this lesser state of consciousness anything which we find ourselves forcibly pursuing will continue to elude capture. Just like anything being hunted, money also has an energy, which means it too will respond unfavourably to being stalked, tracked down, or held onto too tightly.
Each level of health we need for our wealth can be naturally achieved without any stress, anxiety, worry or fear, which is in stark comparison to the extortionate personal price many people often pay emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually, to achieve most of their external financial wealth. When we are choosing to prioritise our internal health and wealth, any external wealth will no longer take up our precious time and energy. Instead of unconsciously chasing our natural share of any financial wealth and abundance away with our energy of eagerness, urgency and even desperation, when we are completely balanced with our internal levels of health and wealth, any financial gain will naturally become attracted to our higher and balanced frequency, which will inturn drawn any financial or monetary wealth we truly deserve, towards us. This is the universal law of attraction.
What we give to both ourselves and others authentically with only the best intentions, and without any expectations of receiving in return is our highest human state. We are simply giving whatever we can energetically to others because we are able to do so. We have no agenda, no ill intent, and no perceived gain from our ability to give. And with no expectations to receive anything in response to our actions, we are void of worry, anxiety or fear. Because our actions are coming from the right place, a good place, a positive and healed place which resides in the knowledge of our own inner light and love, we are rewarded by the very same universal energy.
There is a famous board game which was created in America in the 1960’s which is still popular today, and it is called ‘Mouse Trap’. This was a game in which each player had to roll a pair of dice to find the quickest route for the mouse over an assault course. The objective was for the player ( mouse ) to successfully navigate its way through all of the obstacles along the journey, in order to get to the prize of a slice of cheese which was waiting at the end of the game. While doing so, care had to be taken not to fall foul of the mouse trap, which with one wrong move would perilously descend from above and trap the mouse. This is the very same manner in which us humans chase wealth. These are the same trials and traps which are set, and which we often put ourselves through and also fall foul to on a daily basis, and the only difference being the slice of cheese waiting at the end of our board game is a perceived slice of financial wealth.
The more financial wealth we believe we can obtain by clambering and even crawling over many unnecessary hurdles in our assault course of life - all in hot pursuit of monetary and material abundance - the more we will continue to do so, and around the cycle we will continue to run. Just like a hamster continuously running in circles in the spinning wheel of life, and the mouse forever trapped in the board game searching for a piece of something gratifying, uplifting, and fulfilling, but gaining very little and going nowhere fast, this is indeed our ‘Wealth Trap’ which is societies human game of ‘Mouse Trap’.
That is why we need to teach our young people the true meaning of wealth from an early age. As soon as they are able to understand and realise the importance of developing and maintaining a healthy body and mind above everything else, we should show them the internal strength they hold to successfully begin to dispel all untruths about financial wealth, and heal any mentality of lack. This in turn will assist us all greatly with the ability to detach our hearts and minds from the deception, that we ourselves both individually and collectively are not enough to achieve great levels of natural wealth. The truth about our authentic, unique, and innate powers to create happiness and abundance without having to pay for it financially, needs to become a much more solid and sovereign state of mind.
Our focused efforts to accept, embrace, and indeed manage both our internal and external wealth in a conscious state of equilibrium, we be our ultimate confirmation of our alliance with the universe, that we fully understand the true meaning of wealth and abundance. We will be energetically living and showing our awareness, of our ability to draw in a limitless supply of natural health and wealth on every level. We will be living and showing gratitude for our access to the wealth of all things both tangible and intangible. We will be acknowledging the truth that there is a consistent supply of wealth and abundance available to share throughout the entire planet earth and beyond, with no expiration date, and no possible threat of being lost or indeed stolen. This will be our declaration of how the highest and greatest level of wealth begins in our heart, and is the energy we give and receive emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. And we will know that we can choose to access our real wealth when We Elevate All Levels Through Healing.
