The Recognition Of You
As human beings who innately thrive on connectivity with each other with the core need to feel both seen and heard, life right now is extremely challenging. Many people are living their daily life in the hope of receiving some kind of recognition, and there is nothing wrong with seeking recognition when it is sought after from the correct source. But there is a misguided and misaligned desire for recognition which the many social media machines push to society with the temptation of receiving rewards. These are the rewards derived from and attached to the amount of ‘likes’ ‘shares’ and ‘subscriptions’ we receive from our social media posts and our engagement on these platforms.
This is a false recognition offered which allows people to believe they have achieved a level of either personal or professional achievement and success. The more likes, shares, and subscriptions that are both received and displayed offers the recipient a temporary sense of acknowledgement, identification, and appreciation. Yet there is a much more fulfilling and long standing source of real recognition which can be obtained if we are open to both recognising and receiving it.
There is a greater sense of recognition which can only be realised when we ask ourselves ‘Why?’ we are posting on these platforms initially. Are we posting solely for financial reasons just to obtain an income? Are we posting simply to gain attention, approval, or validation from people we do not even know? Or are we posting because we actually have a strong inner need and desire to communicate our knowledge and insight with the collective? When we are aligned with a natural and innate passion to bring forth our internal understandings and reasonings of life out into the world, with only the purest intentions to serve the greater good of others, we will in return receive the only recognition which truly matters…self recognition.
Our intentions and reasons for choosing to lay ourselves bare and openly express our heart and mind to as many people as we possibly can, should be grounded in the real connection we have between our higher self and our reason for existence. This is an organic intention which is mutually beneficial for both ourselves and humanity as a whole. This is a place of internal knowing with the understanding of who we are in this world, where we can openly like, share, and subscribe to our authentic selves, and live our life through the ultimate purpose and expression of our soul.
When we show up for ourselves honestly with no hidden agenda or expectation of recognition or reward, in turn we receive exactly that which we give. We not only receive the highest level of recognition any individual will ever need in our unveiling of who we are and what we stand for as an individual, we are also granted with the recognition of honour, acceptance and gratitude from our interconnected relationship with the universe. When we are both intentionally speaking and living through our words and actions in cohesion with the universal flow of truth and honesty, we are continuously paid accordingly for our work through both our continuous efforts and our dedication to the cause of spreading enlightening, uplifting, and growth led information.
The rewards we receive for aiming to serve others with only the purest and best intentions will forever be unmatched by any offer of superficial rewards of recognition. Our rewards for remaining steadfast in our endeavors to help the world to become a more inspirationally aware place will be proven by the acknowledgement, appreciation, and identification of our work received in the ethers. We become blessed with the endless and almost overwhelming abundance of mental, emotional, and physical health, wealth, clarity and love, which no financial reward will ever offer recognition to.
We must never forget that whatever we choose to offer to the world through our interactions on social media will remain visible and accessible both throughout our lifetime and beyond. Before we make another post and revel with glee at the amount of likes, shares, or subscriptions we may be materially rewarded with for our participation - regardless of the validity or authenticity of the content we choose to upload - we need to remember one very important aspect. It is ultimately a great risk to both ourselves and indeed our future generations if we fail to first ask ourselves who we are aiming to be recognised by, and most importantly, what type of an individual we are going to forever become recognised as.
